Meet the author - Daniel Biacchessi

This afternoon I attended a meeting at the Library Malatesta (beautiful literary cafe, let us jump!) With writer Daniel Biacchessi, which on this occasion he presented the book The State of shame. This meeting inaugurated the exhibition Resist down in 2009 organized in collaboration with the Province of Viterbo the PA.

The meeting was attended by Prof. . Alfio Cortonesi , who made an introduction on the theme of memory. Memory

seen as identity, as guardian of the past and the freedom of a people. Memory that is used in an instrumental force us to "let us live the present", but it is clear that without a knowledge of the past you can not know the present, the memory must be cultivated to feed the present and to guide the activities policy actively without becoming victims of the political maneuvers of the day. This manipulation also leads to a kind of plea bargain of memory: events are approved and the parties undergo equalization, causing a non-attribution of responsibility.

Biacchessi Daniel, a journalist and writer, is author of many theatrical performances that fall into that vein called "civil Theatre."

Biacchessi wants his book to reach a young audience who want to master data issues, either through ignorance, does not know the facts narrated by him. He believes strongly in the new generations and, indeed, is confident that thanks to the young and new technologies we will be able to preserve the memory and give it more widely in a race against time, murderess of Memory.

then Memory Link and justice, saying that except for the Bologna massacre (in which they have arrived at a final sentence), in the case of other events, or to paraphrase the title of the book "shame of the other, processes have been concluded with an acquittal and this lack of justice is therefore guilty of Time, which clears the memory.

Despite this the authors of these killings, these murders, these dark events, did not win: I've been defeated by all those people who have commemorated the victims and have not been drawn into this vortex of indemocraticità (pass me the term. ..)

At the end of the presentation I wanted to buy the book, but unfortunately it was done. I will try it in other libraries in the coming days, I'm really curious to read it.
